  Baptismal Godparents are: Godfather and Godmother. You are required to have one Godparent who is a Baptized and Confirmed Catholic. Ideally, the second godparent is also baptized and confirmed. However, the second Godparent may be a non-Catholic baptized Christian.

  INFORMATION YOU WILL NEED TO OBTAIN FROM YOUR GODPARENTS:
  
  Please obtain from the Godparents their Confirmation certificate. If the second Godparent is a non-Catholic, they will need to have a Baptismal Certificate. These certficates are to be requested from the parish that the Godparent received the Sacrament.
