Welcome to St. Agatha Faith Formation for grades 6, 7, and 8!
"The only real sadness, the only real failure, the only great tragedy in life, is not to become a saint."
This quotation by the French Catholic novelist Leon Bloy is more than simply a pious thought; it speaks of the deepest desire of our hearts, whether young or old, for God and for human excellence. As parents and as educators, let us seek to awaken in ourselves and in our children this desire for sanctity and goodness.
For many years, I have been posing the question to youth and families, “What is the point of CCD?” As you can imagine, I get various responses to that question! But we beat it up a bit, and ultimately, we get to the answer “to help us get to Heaven.” We are all on a lifelong journey to the Father’s house, and the middle school years of grades 6, 7, and 8 are so critical to forming one’s faith. Especially now that the Archdiocese of Boston has lowered the age for youth to be confirmed. We welcome and want your children to be a part of our St. Agatha Faith Formation community to be continuously growing in love of God and love of neighbor.
